Watermelon secret!

Hello my readers! I now the SM crew is laying low lately but we are in vacation a lill bit :))). OK some of us :D ! BUT! Our lovely nutritionist Andrea Kirsch did her homework :D and I'm great full cuz she wrote a secret about watermelons which I personally never new! I want to share with you to...

In this heat, I think, watermelon is the fruit which we consume the most and we can find at every market. It is good to eat, but do not exaggerate with the quantity. Two slices of watermelon between meals or on the empty stomach in the morning is beneficial for the entire body (as long as it is consumed in a healthy diet). Watermelon brings a lot of benefits to the body.

Watermelon and honeydew melon contains a little amount of sodium and the same quantity of potassium. This quantity is extremely important in preventing/ dissolving kidney stones and reducing the acid in the blood. The water concentration is 92% and has diuretic properties which helps the detoxification process.

Watermelon plays an important role! They can be used for various infections in the body such as joints inflammation. Thus, eating watermelon helps to relieve pain caused by osteoarthritis and allows greater flexibility of the limbs.

Watermelon contains a high level of antioxidants (lycopene), which makes this fruit to protect the blood vessels and prevents arterial wall thickening.

The same antioxidants mixed with vitamins plays an active role in the prevention of many types of cancer including breast, prostate, lung or the cervix. A study conducted in China in 2009 shows that women who frequently consume watermelon have less risk of contracting breast cancer due to antioxidants and compounds which destroys the cancer cell.

Let's eat this wonderful fruit until it’s in season! Enjoy!

Some tips for a balanced daily menu

Hello my readers! Today is Andrea Kirsch day! :D Here it is her advice for today and for all! :D

  • Start the day with a fresh fruit juice.

  • When you fell ravenous eat bananas because they are highly nutritious. Pick green bananas because the amidine has not turned into sugar. Brown spots on banana peel shows that starch was turned into sugar.

  • When you want to lose weight, don’t eat figs and dried fruits: we all know that they are a wonderful source of energy, but they contain a large amount of concentrated sugar, which will stop you to lose weight.

  • If you cook fruits (compotes, jams, cookies), their alkalinity becomes acidic

  • Eat the nuts raw. In this state, they are very nutritious and easily digested by the stomach. They contain protein (high quality amino acids) and calcium. Do not eat fried because they are highly acidic. Raw nuts are a source of natural oil

  • Seeds are like nuts…a concentrated source of protein. They should be eaten raw and never in big quantity. Do not mix the seeds with other concentrated food.

  • Oils are recommended to be less refined and obtained by cold pressing.

I hope you will respect these topics, especially if you have health or silhouette problems. If you have question please contact Andrea! She will help you with any kind of nutrition problem!

Freedom

Hello, my readers!  I just got back from my home village, sounds weird… I had some refreshing moments and I cleared my head. So, now, we have new projects for you, with more articles and I hope you’re going to like the idea!  For this week’s ”weekly look” we have the topic freedom:

Freedom is what we all want in this rushing fake world.

Free to live a life, free from a fucked up job, free from the scholar system, free from lies  or just being free to do what we always wanted: to achieve a dream. My question is: if you achieve it, will you be free? (Or are you going to be so into your work, that you won’t even notice how far you’re getting from being free.)

Some say:  “be careful what you wish for” and I think that’s a true thing.

Ocho writes in his „intelligent” book about primitive people, he declares that they are the most intelligent ones.  All their care about is sex, mostly. Here is my second question:  being primitive equals with being free? Not to know anything, not to care about the system, not to be interested about culture, but when it comes about surviving the day, they can be productive and beside this they want love and family in their life…

If you are living in a big town, than you know that the average woman doesn't think about family, they are career oriented! When the biological time is ticking, then they became frustrated and that’s when the doctor knocks on the door! I don’t think that this is freedom or acceptable, I think all of this is just a bad norm.

Choose life, because you have only one, take a chance, because it might turn out good, fall in love without lying, and choose to be free, because life is not a prison!

The Modern Mix Fashion Show...

Hello SM readers! As you may know we had a big show last week, in the Culture Palace at the Modern Mix Fashion Show. Some of you were there and I’m honored. Your support helps a lot the SM crew and we are grateful for that.

The idea of this fashion show was to promote our self and use ordinary people as a model. The designers needed to do wearable garments. Personally I liked this idea, because it’s my territory, that’s why I participated on the first place.

Although I liked D.D. Judith designs, her collection was about Catalan. She didn't make wearable dresses but I think she brought innovation on the runway. The other collection which I really liked was the Infinite Line collection from Iszlai Adel. Her collection was wearable, innovative and well made, which is important if you are a young designer. From the jewelry collection I really liked Beango’s design. Her perspective is really good, modern in a rocker way, well finished and young people would buy. If you are a designer you must sell your products by making quality and innovations in your garment.

What’s your opinion Gina and Ildi?

Indeed. In this world originality matters the most. A designer has to give something unique, but also wearable. I think Annamari’s dresses give us both. All of her collections express something, a state of mind, a mood and give us, women sensuality, originality, no matter the occasion.

We presented three collections first came the “Purity”… I wanted to bring something new, fresh on the runway so I prepared this young collection which reflected the innocent personality of the childhood. I used hand stitched pattern to show the playfulness of the look.

Ildi tell to the readers about the hair styling and accessories, I think it was beautiful:

Ildi: For the Purity collection me and my mother, (who makes bouquets, and does amazing things with flowers) made floral tributes. I think they looked amazing on the models, and also expressed the nature of the collection.

Gina: In terms of makeup, everything was kept simple, leaving the accents on the hair accessories. In order to emphasize the purity within every girl, I have contoured the inner parts of the eyes and used pink and golden eye shadow and put a natural pink lipstick on their lips.

 Hair by Ildi...

The next show was the “Sport collection” but I think you read a lot about this one! We presented this collection for the last time. If you liked it and you want a piece of these garments, please contact us!
For the Sport collection I made sporty, easy wearable hair, but scenic at the same time, which has a strong holding. (we had models farm the Sirius junior basketball crew )

The whole show was ended by our “Occasional collection” which wowed the audience. This collection it was all about a ball where each woman was wearing different dresses. The models were escorted by a male model to give the real ball felling. This collection was mostly about the hair and make-up so I will let the stylists to write their opinion.

Make up by Gina....

After the show we had a great time together...

Hand stitches for dress decoration...

Hello my readers! Today is Friday finally the weekend is here... and it's DIY time ...Long time no writhing diy's cuz SM had a lot of presentations but for today I prepared a secret! The secret of the "Purity collection".

I used simple hand stitches and two different treads (70). I sew in a waiving form by hand to decorate the garment. If you want to use silver or golden tread on your garment be careful, because if your not doing right it will look crafty...which is not good.

It's simple to make it and it looks childish but if you are making children cloths or "playing" looks than is a perfect pattern for a garment...

Other way to use these hand stitches:(ex pillows)

Have a nice and lovely weekend!

Tusvanyos Festival

Hello my readers! Finally the show parade is a lil’bit silenced and now I have time for blogging! I don’t know if you saw but we have a new headline on the SM blog called “Products”. You can buy or order in any color or concept you want, just leave a msg here! If you want refashion (from old cloths make new ones) or retouch, just contact us!

Tusvanyos for me was a lifetime experience because I had my first presentation and my first live interview at the radio, I was so excited and I learned a lot!

How about you Ildi? This fashion show was my first one, so I was very excited, and scared a little bit. But when the preparation was running I felt self-confidence, and I already knew, that everything’s going to be all right.

We had a worm welcoming and I really want to thank for the organizers all that nice hospitality and this big opportunity. I think my shocking moment was, when stranger people came into the” backstage” and asked about the SM show :D…

The SM presented two collections (the sport and the recycled child collection based on tales). We opened the conversation about SM and future projects, as an introduction for the people. We had a nice blogger volunteer who shared her blogging problems, by listening her I realized we had the same issues at the start (the connection between blogger and reader , this is the most common problem, what bloggers have), so I gave her tips and ideas how to get closer to her readers and I advised her to use statistics, because people enjoy reading them.

Ildi you are a blogger as well, so please add some of your ideas about this problem:

My blog is very “fresh” . In my posts I write about my activities and I try to give to my readers useful advice and valuable information. I have to work on the frequency of my posts and I have to motivate them to put me questions, to be more interactive.

The show was opened by the Kid collection, which the people loved so much. I think that from now on I will always do garments for kids because people really like it, and it helps the show a lot. The garments stayed spectacular on the kids.

The sport collection brought the real festival vibe in to the show, we used as a finale for the presentation.

The garments looked impeccable (I was a lil’bit worried cuz I didn’t had the flatiron with me and the long road could have destroyed the garments, but the cloths have made it :D).  I’ve chosen hairstyles, for the sport collection, which are elegant and sporty at the same time. I’ve tried to make hairstyles which follow the original nature of the hair.

I want to thank those who participated to the show and those who were there to support the SM crew! We hope you liked our presentation! Sincerely the SM crew!
